Today, we celebrate Tokyo Tuxedo’s birthday.
When we got our rabbit at the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter we didn’t know when his actual birthday was. We choose to celebrate his one year being our one and only “Big Bunny Boss” today. We pretend it is his birthday.

He picked us in the visiting room. We lay relaxed on the floor, watching what he would do, would he come out from under the bench.
He picked us. How? He sniffed our arms, legs and faces then he hoped on my belly. Love at first bounce.
This is adopt a shelter pet month in the United States of America. Please know if you have never adopted, you are in for a wonderful surprise. Shelters know the health and personality and needs of the animals they care for.
My first adopted rabbit, Paris lived a truly healthy and extraordinary long 12-years. Never needed a Vet. Neither has Tuxedo.
Please adopt, don’t shop.
This meet my shelter pet came to me as part of the Humane Society of the United States newsletter. I love getting Wayne Pacelle: A Humane Nation blog updates.
You ain’t no bunny until some bunny loves you! Happy Birthday Tokyo Tuxedo!
Happy Birthday Tokyo Tuxedo! Have a great day and the biggest carrot on earth!
Thanks, he’d love the biggest carrot on earth, but then he’d be sick on his birthday. He got a bunch of fresh Bee Balm mint from the garden and a handmade willow toy chew.
Thanks. So cute. Can I use this on my birthday? I think I like that tune better than “Happy Birthday to You.”
Of course!
Happy Gotcha Day! That’s what I call Pierson’s birthday. I first heard the term Gotcha Day from Rumpy Dog.
