“This dog’s owners abandoned him tied to a tree in a campground. He is between one and two years old and weights 58 pounds. Great with other dogs, Huck loves everyone he meets. Huck is neutered and up-to-date with routine shots plus house trained too.”

ugh! i would love to meet huck but can’t trek out to illinois right now! i will send this link to my little sister who lives in chicago. perhaps she will know someone local who is interested! this breaks my HEART! x
What a beautiful dog! I just don’t understand how people can be so cruel, to tether a dog and then adandon him. It’s so wonderful that he has found good people who are working to find him a good home. Good luck, Huck!
Thanks Nicole. I hope that working together we can get him a home.
Hi Laurie, thanks for your note and your kind heart. Do you know Unchain Me because Dogs Deserve Better? I wrote a post featuring their work. Dogs Deserve Better helps get state laws passed against chaining dogs, plus they help rescue chained dogs.
Hi Deborah, yes I’m familiar with DDB and think they do amazing work! It always breaks my heart to see a dog chained! 🙁
