In fact, dogs have lived with humans for at least forty thousand years. Dogs are the only animals that willingly live with us inside their flight zone. So dogs tend to cower or roll belly up in submission rather than try to out run us inside our homes. Whereas cats disappear, scram or flee up a tree.
Fight or flight?
Raised human voices trigger panic in most cats and dogs. So be aware that regardless whom or what we get mad at, our pets fear our loud scary voices.
