Take a look at this terrific small dog rescue. I wish I had know about them when I searched for Sydney (took me seven months).
Small Dog Rescue “We Rescue Your New Best Friend.” Small Dog Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization based in Chico, CA and serving Butte County, Chico, Paradise, Oroville, Roseville and Sacramento. The group is staffed by a small group of dedicated, unpaid volunteers who rescue small dogs under 20 pounds. We receive no commercial or government funding.
