“We rescue your new best friend,” writes Small Dog Rescue in Northern California.
I found this small dog rescue group this morning. I’m happy to share their Web site, which I found easy to read and to use. If you live near Chico, California, be sure to watch for their updates. It took me seven months to find our Sydney, a small dog for our family because we have many big staircases. If you want to adopt a small dog, save yourself time and check out their dogs available for adoption.
“Small Dog Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization based in Chico, CA and serving Butte County, Chico, Paradise, Oroville, Roseville and Sacramento. The group run by a small group of dedicated, unpaid volunteers who rescue small dogs under 20 pounds. They receive no commercial or government funding.”
Rocco, handsome and friendly, will wow you with his fine manners. Affectionate, patient and house trained, this five-year-old black and tan pure breed Chihuahua is a keeper. He weights nine pounds, doesn’t need much exercise and waits patiently if you have to go to work. Good with dogs, cats and children, makes him a great find.
This calm little guy will charm you. Willy looks like a longhaired Chihuahua.
A perfect gentleman, Willy, rates high with his perfect manners, gentleness with dogs, cats and children. Happy to hang around you while you work in home, office or garden, Willy waits for his chance to be your lapdog. And he shows his joy when you invite him to go for errands in the car. Of course, Willy comes already house trained. At four-years-old, Willy weighs five pounds.
